Niome my guardian is now done, she is my warrior, showing strength, reminding me to dream and create along the journey. my next medicine doll to create is the “scapegoat”, this one may not be so pretty. I am to create an image that I associate with pain, this could get ugly! Pain is never pretty…..
My guardian has a crown that represents the sun, which to me symbolizes life, new growth and abundance. It also symbolizes our ability to direct our will and to have a sense of purpose. I used the color of Lavender, it is my favorite plant, it’s smell calms me almost immediately. I grow it and use it dried in dream pillows and I include it inside some of my dolls too. Her staff shows the signs that say “dream”, “create” and “happiness” reflecting my intentions.

During the month I did get to visit with my grand kids who continue to amaze me! baby Greg who will be three near the end of August has the patience to put together puzzles that are for 3-7 year old, I of course knew he liked puzzles and bought him one for 1-3 year old, who knew?? he didn’t complain, he showed me how it’s done.
He and Ella are both artistic, they color really well for their ages and have wonderful imaginations. Their moms do a good job of encouraging them along the way, making sure they have all the tools of creativity such as crayons, paints and lots of paper.
