Saturday, our town hosted a ice carving festival which took place at the fair grounds. I was unable to attend but ran down there today to take pictures of the ice sculptures that were left standing. I also realized it will begin raining tonight into tomorrow and that would totally destroy them. I have to admit, these hills and valleys have the most talented people that I have ever seen. Photographers, painters, sculptors, quilters, every medium of art is practiced here, leaving us with as many galleries as there are antique shops. I hope to bring some of their art work to the blog in the future.
THIS EVENT TURNED OUT TO BE A BIG SUCCESS, SO WE WILL SEE THEM NEXT YEAR!
