DREAM KEEPER….

Monday, February 09th, 2009 | Author: carol

I’ve been feeling a little guilty starting a new project when I have so many unfinished projects sitting in a draw. I brought out dream keeper to finish up and hang by my bed. This dream doll has a hidden pocket for secret wishes or keeping a pencil and pad in it to record your dreams. The basic doll has a million  possibilities, but I wanted to keep him mystical and a true guardian of dreams.

He looks great with his full head of hair, the color went so well with his gold face and the gold in his body fabric.  He has a polymer clay face which I created from a mold, he has a stiff cardboard back covered in same fabric, good for hanging, but he needs embellishing, so we are not done yet….

Another dream doll that I did finish and had a lot of fun making was a doll with a message. You create a message for yourself to remind yourself of the work you want to do in your dreams, or just a reminder to dance in your dreams. Since these are dream dolls, you can add some dried herbs to the stuffing, Lavender would be perfect for going to sleep.

FAIERIES

Sunday, November 30th, 2008 | Author: admin

This is my first fairy, I made her last year from a pattern I sent for over the internet. I also sent for a fairy fabric house which I haven’t made yet. I really like her size, she is perfect for those fairies that live in the base of trees. Her legs and arms are movable making it easy to place anywhere.

This is my woodland fairy, I call her Fiona. She came together early in 2008, I hope to make others using found woodland objects. There is so much stuff you can find on the floor of the woods. Each season leaves behind all kinds of goodies.
