The skies here on top of our mountain have been breath taking! I just had to share what a little bit of heaven must look like. Whether it is a sunrise or sunset, these January skies have been just one show after another… can you see the angel flying just above the sun?

We are expecting heavy rains by tomorrow and that means flooding. Temps are suppose to get into the 40’s and then everything freezes up by Tuesday when we go back down to 32 degrees.

January has been cold, icy, snowy and just one storm front after another. Planning anything is out of the question, but the one thing I can plan ahead for is gardening! I mostly think about some of the artwork I would like to include in the medicine wheel. I should be sanding down the poles needed for the four directions and getting my Indian seat ready for wood burning. Now that I’ve said it aloud, I am going to plan to get started. I will show pictures as I get things going.
The animals are getting a little crazy being in the house so much. The cats that do go out normally can’t stay out for long and the indoor cats haven’t had a whiff of fresh air from an open window in a long, long time. Our youngest cat has decided to become best friends with our bird. Our bird is not afraid of much, including cats. As you can see from the picture, he is giving Cosmo an ear full! But Cosmo keeps visiting him everyday…
