This is my first fairy, I made her last year from a pattern I sent for over the internet. I also sent for a fairy fabric house which I haven’t made yet. I really like her size, she is perfect for those fairies that live in the base of trees. Her legs and arms are movable making it easy to place anywhere.
This is my woodland fairy, I call her Fiona. She came together early in 2008, I hope to make others using found woodland objects. There is so much stuff you can find on the floor of the woods. Each season leaves behind all kinds of goodies.

OUR KUBOTA…….
wishing for a warm, dry garage,
We began to plan for a four car garage a little late in the season. John works the fair in August leaving us little time to get things done around the house. The guys did get to clear the land and send for stone before the first snow began to fly in October. Spring will prove to be really busy when this project is added to the list. A foundation will will have to be poured as soon as the ground thaws.
The outdoor table and chairs show how much snow fell in a night. It’s like a winter wonderland and winter hasn’t begun yet!
Actually, the town is not in this winter wonderland scene, only those of us who live two thousand feet above sea level. We are closer to three thousand feet, so when everyone else gets rain, we get snow. I decided to go to the store to pick up a few items on the night this storm came through. It really wasn’t doing anything except a few snow flurries. By the time I left it was starting to come down heavier plus it had already gotten dark. I was a town away which meant I was heading straight into one hell of a drive home. Sure enough, I couldn’t see a thing in front of me so I pulled over and waited for another car to go by so I could follow it. We crawled along before he too pulled on the side with me behind him! we waited for the next guy and then followed him. What a night, I finally got home in an hour, that trip usually takes twenty five minutes!
The next picture shows the area right across the road from us, it’s what I see from the front of the house. The road used to be cow path when we first moved up here, now it is well traveled. It is hunting season! The hunters have all gone home for Thanksgiving, but they will be BACK. I don’t allow hunting on my property because I’m afraid they will shoot the house and all my animals. The people who live here year round are all trained to shoot to protect and know the rules of the game when it comes to deer season. So hunters beware! Don’t mosey on someone’s property chasing a deer and hoping no one notices. Otherwise, it’s beautiful living up here especially in Spring, Summer and Fall.
