FRIDAY THE 13TH

Saturday, March 14th, 2009 | Author: carol

Another friday the 13th! how lucky can we be! We had one last month and the next one will be in my birthday month of November! Although  it is cold and muddy, the sun is shinning and the hopes of spring are near.

I managed to make an apron for Ella’s bunny, I got in another of her favorite colors (purple) but did not find a hoop small enough to embroider on the apron, there is still time. I did add a pocket to the apron which can hold another little bunny.   I did find another pattern for a 7 inch bunny that gets painted and decoupage

Pattern by Jacque Uetz http://dollmakersjourney.com/wabbit.html  I enjoyed this project, it was fun, I’m already thinking of making one in a cat form.

HOPPING ALONG…

Wednesday, March 04th, 2009 | Author: carol

Sorry for not posting the next day, but I didn’t get to work on bunny as soon as I thought I was. I did get her arms and legs done, put some eyes on her but, the rest of her features will wait till the very end.

Her main dress is ready and I plan on an apron type overlay with Ella’s name on it. A tail is a must and I’m thinking of a little hand bag that can be filled with little goodies.

So far I feel this has come together pretty easy, but I did want to include all her favorite colors, so far I have “red”, I think I used a lot of green because it’s so close to St. Patrick’s day. Although, when I saw the poka dots I knew it said “bunny” all over it, and the green theme dominated.

Well here she is almost done, but still has a way to go. I need to buy a smaller hoop to embroider on the apron. The face features will give her character but I will let Ella name her. I know she will be surprised I didn’t add wings and turn her into a fairy bunny! Maybe next time.  I will post her in all her glory once done.

IT’S TIME FOR A CAT NAP!!
