I found this video and thought of my kids, each of them growing up and experiencing life’s stages. Now they are all grown and two of my daughters have a child of their own. They are now at the beginning of this video, life goes round and how fast it turns.
I really need to get moving on the garden and sewing projects. I promise this will be the last video for a awhile anyway, I have a box of tissues on my desk now. The weather got much cooler today, but I will check on the garden and sketch my plans for the weekend, Friday it is suppose to rain.
I hope everyone is safe from the swine flu, the news said we lost our first 23 month old. I am hoping things turn around for the better soon.
I found my old sketch pad and decided to doodle and sketch my heart out, I need to do this to break the spell of a creative block. It’s not so much a block, but a clog, I have too many ideas running through my head that it has created a traffic jam. Now that we skipped over spring and have plunged right into summer, I need to get outside and clean out the medicine wheel. My art project for the wheel is to get the large piece of wood I have dried out over a two year period and turn it into an “Peace, Indian seat” that will sit inside the wheel. I plan to wood burn the word “Peace” in eleven Indian dialogs, and then apply several coats of sealant so it will become weather proof. Here are a few sketches of what was in front of me at the time, nothing exciting but a beginning. The sketch of the girl with a ball and small child is a sculpture I would love to make for the wheel. I like to include children in the garden and the addition of the gazing ball is perfect but will be a little bigger than the drawing. Ella sent me some of her sketches too, she definitely has the creative gene. I received a great picture of Ella and the bunny I made, she really liked her, makes it all worth doing!
