SUMMER ENDING WITH FAIR WEEK…

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 | Author: carol

Our county has an annual agricultural fair that is pretty big. It does mark the end of summer, bringing up many from down state who have second homes as well as families coming up visiting those of us who live here year round. During this time I don’t see my husband at all, he is the head electrician and he likes to keep the fair running smoothly the whole week.  As much as I love the fair, I feel it always comes up so fast, I wonder whatever happened to summer?? This year especially, too much rain, cooler weather and then out of the blue in August we get humid 80 and 90 degree weather, with thunder storms.  Our road which is normally quiet, now has 4-wheelers running up and down the road. I wonder why they don’t use the trails? I think they are afraid of getting lost in the woods.  My daughter and her family made the trip this year and we had a great time at fair, we celebrated our grandson’s third birthday while they were here and spent some time at the pond skipping rocks.
